Flint Xiaofeng Fan

Hello, I'm Flint.

Scientist in Multi-agent AI/ML

πŸ”¬ I am a Postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, hosted at the Distributed Computing Group (DISCO) under the supervision of Prof. Roger Wattenhofer. I also hold a position as Scientist at A*STAR's Centre for Frontier AI Research (CFAR) hosted at A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), under the supervision of Prof. Ong Yew Soon (IEEE Fellow; President's Chair Professor at NTU; A*STAR Chief AI Scientist). My research is centered on rigorously analyzing the theoretical underpinnings of decision-making in multi-agent systems. I aim to elucidate how these theoretical insights can inform and improve practical applications, with a particular focus on collaborative, distributed, and federated reinforcement learning.

πŸŽ“ I obtained my PhD in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS), sponsored by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) under its A*STAR Computing and Information Science Scholarship (ACIS). I am honored to receive supervision from Prof. Wei Tsang Ooi from NUS, Dr. Cheston Tan from A*STAR, and Prof. Roger Wattenhofer from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich).
